The price per-day for the Full-Excess Top-Up is : £4.00 per day
Summary of Cover
Your Top-Ups provide cover for the following items :

- Tyres & Wheels
- Roof damage
- Underside damage
- Glass damage
- Wing Mirrors
- Lost/Damaged keys (max 200 Euros)

All these items are explained in detail here. There is a limit of 3,000 Euros maximum claim value for all these items in total. Let's spell this out. The maximum payout is 3,000 Euros so if you do more damage, you will be paying the balance.

How to Buy

In order to buy a Top-Up, you need a confirmed car rental reservation from CarJet. From the car rental voucher, you'll find a link to take you to a Top-Up already prepared and priced based on your car rental type (with or without Excess etc) and the number of days required.

When you start to buy a Top-Up, we'll "import" all the details of your CarJet reservation into the Top-Up, it's as simple as that! Your insurance Top-Up must match your car rental voucher AND the details shown on the car rental voucher so the following items are present on all three :

-The first driver name MUST be the same.
-The start-date and duration of the rental contract MUST match.

This is generally a simple affair for new Top-Ups, but it is important to maintain the same driver name and rental dates if you start making changes, after you've booked, to your car rental reservation. See below for further details.

Summary of Cover
When you first book a Top-Up

Your Top-Ups are a separate purchase to your car rental. When you book a Top-Up via our website, you do so with your CarJet booking reference and we import a "copy" of your CarJet booking details (like arrival date, length of hire etc) into our insurers system to quote you and process your Top-Up booking.

Changes to an exisiting booking

If you change your car rental dates, you will need to cancel and rebook your CarJet Extras Top Up (and yes, you will still lose the 50p charge for card processing and refund etc).

When we re-issue car rental vouchers, we will automatically check to ensure that the dates of hire and rental duration match and let you know about a possible need to update your Top-Up.

We cannot monitor changes in driver name (there are too many variations in the named driver field to write code for), so it is YOUR responsibility to ensure that the named driver on the voucher matches the named driver on the insurance Top-Up.

Extensions to an existing booking

A great many of our customers extend rentals once in they have arrived in resort - maybe the weather is fabulous, or (more likely) you are still waiting on your local plumber a little longer than expected!

If you do extend your rental, please remember your Top-Up will not be valid for the new extended period.

You can return to our website at www.carjetextras.com and purchase a new Top-Up to cover the additional period. Please note, you may only purchase the top-up on the day the new rental contract commences. You cannot (for obvious reasons) buy back-dated insurance from us!

One of the great advantages of booking with CarJet is our "no quibble" refunds on-the-spot if your plans change and you decide not to travel.

So, we've tried to apply these same simple rules to the (slightly more complex) world of insurance too.

When can I cancel?

You can cancel a Top-Up at any time up to, and including, the day that your rental starts. If you do this, you will recieve a full refund of the Top-Up fee less a 50p charge to cover our card processing charges (which we pay twice in these circumstances).

Cancellations may only be processed via the CarJetExtras.com website. We cannot process written (postal or e-mail) requests, nor telephone requests to cancel.

When can't I cancel?

If you don't cancel before the first day of rental (as shown on your car rental voucher), you cannot cancel during the remainder of the hire. If you simply fail to show up in resort (and don't tell us, nor cancel on-line), you cannot obtain a refund on the Top-Up charge. If you return the car earlier than the date initially booked, there is no refund for any "unused days" of the Top-Up. Please note in both these cases, you may be entitled to a refund on the car rental value paid. Please contact Customer Services for further information in this case.

Summary of Cover
Both our Top-Up's and our Full Excess buy-out products come with world-class customer support. To make a claim, you only have to contact CarJet's Customer Service department with :

a) A photocopy of your credit card bill showing the payment to the car rental company. And,
b) An e-mail or bill from the car rental company showing the reason for the charge. (if you don't have this, our Customer Service team will obtain it for you). You will also require a claim form which can be down-loaded here or sent to you via post.

All our claims are processed by AIG Travel Assist who will verify the claim with the car rental company before re-imbursing you for the claim value within 10 working days from the date of receipt of a completed claim form with all required support documents.
